Company Profile

Ardeer Engineering (Pty) Ltd was established on 1 June 1999 by former employees of AECI Engineering, following the closure of that company. The combined experience in the petrochemical, fine chemical and food industries of the members of the Corporation is in excess of 160 years with a further 60 being added by other engineers currently on the team.

Award-Winning Projects

• Ion exchange process for Lysine purification - John Le Patourel received the 1997 SAIChe Innovation Award for developing this novel process.
• John was also named as an inventor on a US Patent for the recovery of an amino acid while working on the Lysine project.
• World wide patent has been filed for a citric acid process concept.
• The 1986 South African Institute of Mechanical Engineers Best Project Award for Urea Uprating and Granulation Project.
• The 1991 South African Institute of Mechanical Engineers Best Project Award for Landfill Gas Extraction Project.
• The 1991 South African Institute of Mechanical Engineers Best Project Award for Hydrogen Peroxide Plant.
